ROBINSON WOODSHOP, LLC, a local father and sons enterprise, offers artistic wood crafting from Boyne City, Michigan. Wood-crafting is their passion! Both father and sons are award winning woodcrafters acknowledged by the Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society (MITES) as State Champions through their high school submitted projects representing our community with pride during their learning years. Their hand-wood crafting expertise and reverence for the intricacies of wood and its possibilities has helped make their creations a local favorite.

MEET GALEN

Galen is a highly skilled wood craftsman. He hand-built a redwood canoe when he was a teen. Since, he has crafted many beautiful wooden pieces. He has mentored his boys with a love of wood craftsmanship, as well. Galen is also a complete outdoor enthusiast. From boating to hunting and everything in between including wilderness camping, he is a fearless leader. Galen and his sons find lots of mischief together. Galen is a man of faith. He prays daily and remembers a list of people with specific needs. God’s love shines through him. His passion for ministry has never ceased. He shares God’s love and forgiveness as often as he can. His depth of character is reflected in each creation touched by his hand. Prayers and blessings go with each blessed piece to its new home.

MEET THE BOYS

Jacob is the oldest. He graduated December of 2021 from HOPE COLLEGE with a Bachelor’s degree in BIOLOGY. He is very excited to serve the State of Michigan with an eye towards conservation as a DNR Conservation Officer protecting the natural resources of our great state. He was a starting Offensive Right Guard for HOPE COLLEGE’s O-Line. He graduated from the State of Michigan LED DNR Conservation Officer Academy in December of 2022. Jacob is a conservative thinker. He looks at life through many angles before he determines what his opinion will be and how he will navigate each new situation. He is a great big brother and is a wonderful role model both athletically and academically. His hobbies include woodworking, 4-wheeling, fishing, hunting, snow-sports, water-sports, and JEEPING. Here is his award winning canoe that he built while a junior in high school. His first place finish in the State of Michigan in his category was such an honor! He has made many fabulous woodworking projects and remains hooked on this gorgeous art-form.

Joshua is the youngest! He graduated with his Associates degree completed while in high school during his 5th year at NCMC in May, 2022. He is a confident, multi-sport athlete and academic wonder. Josh was very involved with student council, NHS, and visual imaging through the RSN Broadcast Network. If electronics give one a problem, Josh is the man to solve that problem! He is an Electrical Engineering major at HOPE COLLEGE working towards his Bachelor’s Degree. Like his brother, he plays football at HOPE COLLEGE, except on the DEFENSIVE side as a linebacker. He has the ability to laugh at himself and finds the zest in life at every turn! He is super adventurous. He is quick to help anyone at any time with anything. Definitely a man of service! Josh’s hobbies are very similar to Jacob’s as they do many things together. Not only are they brothers, but they enjoy hanging out with each other! Here are some cool woodworking projects that Josh built. He was a State Finalist for this jewelry box (2nd in the State of Michigan in his category.) He created it as a gift to his mother. From the little details like velvet lined pull-drawers inside the outer jewelry box doors to the mirrored depths of the necklace hanging area, one can observe his extreme talent as a woodcrafter. He is also a water lover and spends a lot of time playing on the water in the summer.
